Makeup Forever Wild and Chic set

Hello all, I am very happy to re-introduce Makeup Forever back into my make up box. I made a trip to Estination at Roppoingi Hills this weekend because I found out that MUFE was in Tokyo (albeit at twice the price anywhere else) I was about to leave empty-handed until I saw Wild & Chic Aqua cream and Aqua Liner set (Purple Minaudiere) sitting on a lower tier shelf. I know this was released in late 2011, but I only found out it was possible to get it in Tokyo a few weeks ago and its pretty much what I needed in terms of colors. Aqua Cream 01 – Greyish TaupeAqua Cream 15 – Copper Brown – can go a little red but you can overlay with different colors if you don’t like it (a light colored shadow over the inner half of your lids looks really nice with this underneath)

Very soft (not like mousse though) and shimmer is very fine, finishes with a nice metallic sheen. Aqua Liner 0l – Matte Black, very creamyAqua Linder 2L – Metallic Brown, very creamyOh so creamy and soft, after 4 days using, I have to re-sharpen the black soon (I use it for upper waterline, so never even rimming the entire eye!).  On the up side it doesn’t move and can easily be blending for a short time after application.

Given these particular colors, I would recommend the set for peeps that are comfortable with eye makeup.  You want to be able to work with the product, it might get a bit fiddly if you have to keep building or you put on too much and then its all down hill then.  Alternatively, if you want to experiment, these cream colors will give you the crash course, after which, you can handle every cream shadow out there!
For you if:·           You want a cream shadow that acts as your base and contour (honestly has halved my morning routine)
·           Want something that acts as primer and shadow in one (Aqua creams don’t budge after it has dried)
Not for you if:·           You don’t own any blending brushes, the color is strong so you have to soften the edges etc., otherwise the shape is all wrong
·           Want a delicate or soft overall make up look.  When the packet says “Wild” they are not kidding
·           You want something versatile.  Let’s be frank, with these colors if you put it on too lightly it will make you look like you’ve been punched and if you put it on too heavily, Hellooo, fabulous!  Thank you for reading!Liddy

Bioderma Crealine H2O

BIODERMA CRÉALINE H20 MAKEUP REMOVER REVIEW

Overall: 4.75/5

Effectiveness: 4.5/5

Affordability: 5/5

First post ever!  Exciting! :D

My first post is about something that you should be doing every night, no matter how drunk you are, no matter how “little” make up you’ve got on—it’s gotta go.  Bioderma Crealine H2O is a cleansing product that removes make up like a dream.

How to use:

Saturate cotton pad(s), whip over face, and continue until cotton pad is clear of makeup. No water is required, and just let it dry before heading into the shower etc.

Pro:

·           For face makeup this product is second to none in terms of effectiveness, practicality and price
·           Very gentle and leaves skin’s pH undisturbed

Cons:

·           [Note: This con may be purely specific to me and the amount of eye makeup I use ^^] No matter how many different techniques I use, I just cannot get all the makeup from my around my eye.  This isn’t a major con for me because just a smidgen of cleansing oil does the trick

·           You power through cotton pads (in Tokyo you can get 300 pads for 100 yen so I am not complaining)
·           In a shower scenario, cleansing oils may be more convenient because the emulsion stage can be done in the shower

For you?

·           Oily and/or sensitive skin types (honestly, its like water)
·           Sensitive to/dislikes scents
·           You find that cleansing oils make you break out (though they aren’t meant to if you use it and wash it off right) or in general you haven’t found one that suits your skin (either not light enough or heavy enough)
·           Travel a lot, this is a much better alternative than makeup remover wipes (I don’t recommend using these) and are more heavy duty in the make up remove-ability department than baby wipes.  It comes in a tiny baby bottle that is easy to carry around.

Thank you for reading guys and I hope that I’ve been helpful.  If I missed anything out let me know :D
